Thien Duong

PhD in Computer Science|Graduate Research Assistant

Thien Tuong Duong is an international student from Vietnam, currently a first-year PhD student in Computer Science and a Graduate Research Assistant. As for my educational background, I graduated from University of Arkansas Fort Smith (UAFS) with dual Bachelor degrees in Information Technology and Mathematics, and I graduated from University of Arkansas Little Rock (UALR) with a Master degree in Computer Science. At the EAC, I’m a primary researcher for the Sonogram project – an application that utilizes machine learning speaker diarization to evaluate active learning in STEM classrooms. In addition, I’m working on publishing an article regarding evaluation of digital audio compression techniques, where my research interest lies. I contribute to the EAC my knowledge in digital audio compression and machine learning.
