Dr. Sandra Leiterman Successfully Defends Doctoral Dissertation

Dr. Sandra Leiterman successfully defended her doctoral dissertation titled “Success in College Algebra: Examining in Corequisite College Algebra” on Friday, December 1st. Dr. Leiterman’s dissertation explored the experiences and perspectives of undergraduate students enrolled in a corequisite college algebra. The dissertation also scrutinizes the prevalence of mathematics anxiety among students and exploring the correlation toward mathematics – whether fixed or growth oriented.

Dr. Leiterman will officially graduate from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a Ph.D in Curriculum and Instruction: Math Education on December 16th. The EAC joins in celebrating Dr. Sandra Leiterman’s achievement and witnessing the impact her research will have on education.
